Peec AI is one of the easiest AI visibility trackers to buy: clear prices, unlimited users and daily tracking. The catch shows up when you build your plan. Every self-serve tier tracks only three AI models, and Perplexity costs extra.
I work on AI visibility for B2B SaaS, and I built a free tool for it, so I went through each serious Peec AI alternative the way a buyer would: homepage, product pages and pricing page, on 20 October 2026. Below are the 10 options worth a look, ordered by how widely they're used and how close they come to what Peec does: which engines each one tracks, what the entry plan really buys, and who it suits.
I work at Fourward, which publishes this guide. One entry is ours: the free AI visibility check, listed last. Every other fact links to that company's own website, checked on 20 October 2026. No vendor paid to be included or knew I was writing this.
- Peec AI's self-serve plans track 3 models you choose. Rankscale, LLMrefs and SE Visible include every engine they support on every plan.
- Monthly-billed entry prices run from $29 (Otterly.AI Lite) to $295 (AthenaHQ Starter). Rankscale's yearly-only Essentials plan works out at $17 a month. AthenaHQ also has a free plan, and Profound shows no paid price for brands.
- Prompt counts vary more than prices. For about $100 a month you get 25 prompts on Semrush, 50 on Peec, 200 on SE Visible and 500 on LLMrefs.
- A tracker tells you whether AI names you. Getting named still takes crawler access, structured data, pages worth citing and mentions on other sites.
Why teams look past Peec AI
Peec AI is AI search analytics for marketing teams. It tracks visibility, position and sentiment against your competitors every day, and says it's used by more than 3,500 brands and agencies. Its pricing page is one of the clearest in the category:
- Starter: $95 a month for 50 prompts and 1 project.
- Pro: $245 a month for 150 prompts and 2 projects.
- Advanced: $495 a month for 350 prompts and 5 projects.
- Enterprise: custom, billed annually, with up to 13 models and API access.
Every self-serve plan includes unlimited users and daily tracking. The limit is engines: Starter, Pro and Advanced each cover 3 models you pick from ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Perplexity and any extra model are add-ons, priced from $30 a month per model on Starter to $140 on Advanced. Claude, Grok and DeepSeek are only on Enterprise.
So teams look elsewhere for three reasons: they want more engines without add-ons, more prompts for the same budget, or AI tracking inside the SEO tool they already use.
Peec AI is a strong default when 3 models are enough. If your buyers use Perplexity, Claude or several engines at once, price the add-ons before you compare it with the tools below.

1. Profound
Best for Enterprise marketing teams that want tracking, prompt demand data and agents in one platform.
Profound is the best-known enterprise name in AI visibility. It calls itself the AI platform to power your marketing, with an AI Marketer and agents that draft and stage work, Agent Analytics for AI crawler visits and Prompt Volumes for demand.
- EnginesThe trial covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Enterprise covers up to 9 answer engines. Pricing page
- Acts on the dataAgents and an AI Marketer for content work, Agent Analytics, and Prompt Volumes.
- PricingFor brands: a free 7-day trial with 50 prompts, run daily, then a custom Enterprise plan. No paid self-serve price is shown.
- Who it suitsAEO, content and PR teams, agencies and enterprises, with SOC 2 and 200+ integrations.
My take The most complete platform here, and the hardest to price before a call. Pick it if you need agents and enterprise controls, not just a dashboard.
2. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
Best for Teams already on Semrush that want AI tracking next to their SEO data.
Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit is built for businesses that want to track how they're mentioned in AI search. It sits inside the Semrush suite, so prompt tracking, competitor research and site audits share one login.
- EnginesMentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity.
- Acts on the dataCompetitor analysis, prompt research and a site audit for AI readiness.
- Pricing$99 a month per domain, billed annually, with 25 custom prompts and daily rankings. Extra users from $45 a month.
- Free optionSemrush's general 7-day free trial.
My take The easy choice if Semrush is already open all day. 25 prompts is thin, so it suits a focused list of buying questions, not a full category map.
3. Ahrefs Brand Radar
Best for Researching how any brand, yours or a competitor's, shows up in AI answers.
Brand Radar lets you see any brand's AI visibility. Its core is an index of 492 million prompts, so you can research a category before you write a single prompt of your own.
- EnginesThe index covers AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot. Claude is available too, and on custom prompts it uses 8 checks per update.
- Acts on the dataCited pages and domains, search demand, fan-out queries, and Reddit, YouTube and TikTok sources.
- PricingCustom prompts start at $50 a month for 150 checks and 5 prompts, and are included with paid Ahrefs plans from Lite. The AI Visibility Index is $199 a month, or $699 for all models.
- Free optionA free AI visibility checker with a limited preview.
My take Unmatched for research across a whole market. Ahrefs itself says the index works best once your brand already appears in AI search, so pair it with custom prompts if you're starting from zero.
4. Otterly.AI
Best for Solo marketers and small teams that want the lowest monthly price.
Otterly.AI tracks how your brand appears in AI search and adds recommendations, a GEO audit and a crawlability audit. Its entry plan is the cheapest monthly-billed plan in this guide.
- EnginesChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot are included. AI Mode and Gemini are $9 a month each on Lite, Claude $29. Pricing page
- Acts on the dataAI search optimization recommendations, a GEO audit and a crawlability audit. API, MCP and Agent Analytics start on Standard.
- PricingLite $29 a month for 15 prompts, Standard $189 for 100, Premium $489 for 400, or 15% less billed yearly.
- Free optionA free trial for new users.
My take The cheapest way to start, and it includes Perplexity, which Peec charges extra for. 15 prompts goes fast, so most B2B teams will end up on Standard.
5. AthenaHQ
Best for Teams that want a free start, then agents that act on what they find.
AthenaHQ pitches itself on action on AI search: tracking, then a content optimization agent and on-page and off-page actions to close the gaps.
- EnginesThe free Essential plan covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot. Starter covers 11, adding AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral.
- Acts on the dataA content optimization agent, on-page and off-page actions, robots.txt and llms.txt controls, and GA4 and Search Console links.
- PricingEssential is free with 300 credits. Starter is $295 a month with 3,600 credits, where 1 credit is 1 AI response. API access and extra credits cost more.
- Free optionThe free Essential plan, with unlimited users.
My take The only tracker here with a real free plan. Credits make the cost hard to predict, so estimate your monthly responses before upgrading.
6. Scrunch
Best for Teams that want monitoring plus fixes that make their site easier for AI to read.
Scrunch helps you monitor and improve your brand's visibility in AI search. Beyond tracking, it runs site audits, reports agent traffic and, on Enterprise, serves machine-readable pages to AI agents.
- EnginesCore tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Enterprise covers 9, adding Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, AI Mode and Grok. Pricing page
- Acts on the dataSite audits, agent traffic, and its Agent Experience Platform on Enterprise.
- PricingCore $250 a month for 125 prompts, 5,000 responses, 5 site audits and 5 users. Enterprise is custom.
- Free optionA 7-day free trial.
My take Worth it if making your site readable to AI agents matters as much as tracking. Four engines on Core is fewer than Peec's add-on options.
7. Rankscale
Best for Agencies and teams that want every engine without paying per model.
Rankscale is an AI visibility platform that includes every engine it tracks on every plan, and it now also supports Meta Muse Spark. It prices by credits rather than prompts.
- EnginesChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral, Grok, Copilot and more, on every plan. Pricing page
- Acts on the dataPage audits, query fan-out, prompt research, local results and shopping analysis. REST API from Pro+.
- PricingEssentials is $204 a year, billed yearly only. Pro is $99 a month for 1,200 credits, up to 4,800 answers, and Growth is $385.
- Free optionA 7-day free trial of Pro.
My take The broadest engine coverage for the money. Credits run down faster when you add engines, so watch usage in the first month.
8. SE Visible
Best for Brands and agencies that want lots of prompts on the main engines at a low price.
SE Visible is SE Ranking's standalone tool, an AI visibility tool made to empower brands. SE Ranking also sells an AI search toolkit inside its SEO plans, if you'd rather keep everything in one place.
- EnginesChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode and AI Overviews on every plan. Claude is planned but not supported yet.
- Acts on the dataAI sources, prompt research, competitor analysis and a brand dashboard, refreshed daily. Query fan-out and sentiment are listed as coming soon.
- PricingBasic from $99 a month for 200 prompts, Core $189 for 450, Plus $355 for 1,000, or 20% less billed yearly.
- Free optionA 10-day free trial.
My take Four times Peec's prompts at a similar entry price, with Perplexity included. It covers fewer countries and actions than the bigger tools, so check your market first.
9. LLMrefs
Best for SEOs who think in keywords and want one flat price for every engine.
LLMrefs tells you to track keywords, not prompts. You enter keywords, it generates the prompts, and it tracks citations across every engine it supports for one price.
- EnginesChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek, with no extra fees.
- Acts on the dataCitation tracking, monthly prompt-volume estimates, geo-targeting and free tools such as an llms.txt generator.
- PricingOne All in One plan at $79 a month for 500 prompts, marked as a limited-time price, with unlimited team members and projects.
- Free optionA 7-day free trial.
My take The most prompts and engines per dollar in this list. Reports refresh weekly, not daily, which is fine for trends but slow for launches.
10. Fourward AI visibility check
Best for Finding out why AI doesn't name you, free, in under a minute.
Every tracker answers the same question: does AI mention you? Most SaaS teams already suspect the answer is no. I built this check to answer the next question, which is why.
You enter your domain and it runs 30 checks on what AI engines can read about your site, then gives one score out of 100 across five areas:
- AI crawler accessWhether the crawlers behind ChatGPT search, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Claude are allowed in, and whether your sitemap is reachable.
- Homepage signalsTitle, description, headings, depth of copy and social tags.
- Structured dataOrganization, product and FAQ markup that tells machines who you are.
- Entity and authorityWhether Wikidata and Wikipedia know you, and which profiles link to you.
- AI-ready contentPricing, customer proof, docs, comparison pages and llms.txt.
It doesn't track prompts over time, so it won't replace any tool above. Use it before you buy one, together with our free AI crawler checker.
My take Run it first. If crawler access or entity signals fail, any tracker will show you the same zero every day. Run the free check.
Entry plans compared
What the cheapest paid plan buys, side by side. Prices are monthly in US dollars unless noted, as published on 20 October 2026.
| Tool | Entry plan | Price | Tracking included | Engines |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rankscale | Essentials | $204 a year, billed yearly | Credits | All it tracks |
| Otterly.AI | Lite | $29 | 15 prompts | 4, more as add-ons |
| Ahrefs | Custom prompts, Lite | $50 | 5 prompts, 150 checks | Choose per prompt |
| LLMrefs | All in One | $79 | 500 prompts, weekly | 10 |
| Peec AI | Starter | $95 | 50 prompts, daily | 3 you choose |
| SE Visible | Basic | $99 | 200 prompts, daily | 5 |
| Semrush | AI Visibility Toolkit | $99 per domain, billed annually | 25 prompts, daily | 4 |
| Scrunch | Core | $250 | 125 prompts | 4 |
| AthenaHQ | Starter | $295 | 3,600 credits | 11 |
| Profound | Enterprise | Custom | Tailored | Up to 9 |
Three prices hide the real cost. AthenaHQ and Rankscale run on credits and Ahrefs' custom prompts on checks, so more engines use them faster. Peec AI and Otterly.AI charge per extra engine, and Scrunch saves its extra engines for Enterprise.
LLMrefs and SE Visible give the most prompts per dollar, Otterly.AI has the lowest monthly-billed price, and Rankscale has the most engines without add-ons. Peec AI sits in the middle on price, with the fewest engines per plan.
Free check. 30 checks, one score out of 100, under a minute.
How to choose a Peec AI alternative
Start with the engines your buyers use and the number of questions you need to track.
| Your situation | Start with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You need Perplexity and Claude without add-ons | Rankscale or LLMrefs | Every engine on every plan |
| You want many prompts on a small budget | SE Visible or LLMrefs | 200 prompts for $99, or 500 for $79 |
| You want the lowest monthly-billed price | Otterly.AI | From $29, Perplexity included |
| Your team lives in Semrush or Ahrefs | Their AI add-on | Same login, same data |
| You want to start free | AthenaHQ | Free Essential plan, five engines |
| You need agents and enterprise controls | Profound | Agents, Agent Analytics and SOC 2 |
| You don't know why AI never mentions you | Fourward AI visibility check | Free, and it shows the blockers first |
Questions I'd ask before buying
- Which engines do my buyers actually use? Pay for those, not the longest row of logos.
- How many prompts do I need? List your buying questions, add your main competitors' angles, and check the total against each plan.
- Daily or weekly? Daily matters around launches. Weekly is enough for trends.
- Who will act on the data? If nobody owns the fixes, the chart won't move.
Choose by engines, prompt count and who acts on the data. A cheaper tracker and someone fixing the gaps beats an expensive dashboard nobody uses.
A full SEO, AEO and GEO audit, plus 30 minutes with our team to walk you through it.
FAQs
What is the best alternative to Peec AI?
It depends on what you're missing. For more engines without add-ons, Rankscale or LLMrefs. For more prompts at a similar price, SE Visible. For the lowest monthly-billed price, Otterly.AI, or Rankscale's yearly Essentials plan. For tracking inside your SEO tool, Semrush or Ahrefs.
How much does Peec AI cost?
Peec AI's Starter plan is $95 a month for 50 prompts, Pro is $245 for 150, Advanced is $495 for 350, and Enterprise is custom. Each self-serve plan tracks 3 models, and extra models are paid add-ons.
Does Peec AI track Perplexity?
Not by default on self-serve plans. Perplexity is an add-on, like any model beyond the 3 included. Otterly.AI, Semrush, SE Visible, Rankscale and LLMrefs include Perplexity on their entry plans.
Is there a free Peec AI alternative?
AthenaHQ has a free Essential plan that tracks five engines. Ahrefs has a free AI visibility checker with a limited preview, and Fourward's free AI visibility check shows why AI engines can't read or name your brand.
Which AI visibility tool tracks the most engines?
Rankscale includes every engine it tracks on every plan, and LLMrefs covers 10 engines for one price. AthenaHQ's Starter plan covers 11. Peec AI's Enterprise plan goes up to 13.
Do I need a tracker, or someone to fix my AI visibility?
Both. A tracker shows whether AI names you. Getting named takes crawler access, structured data, pages that answer buyer questions and mentions on the sites AI cites. Start with a free check to see which of those is missing.
