SaaS marketing agency pricing: what 10 agencies actually publish

Most agencies price after a call. Ten publish numbers. Here is every figure I found on their own sites, what each price band actually buys, and the costs that sit outside the retainer.

SaaS marketing agency pricing starts at about $2,500 a month for a single service and runs past $50,000 a month for a full outsourced team. From the published prices I found, a focused program from a smaller agency costs $4,000 to $10,000 a month, a specialist or full-service team $14,000 to $30,000, and the top end $50,000 or more. Ad spend is always extra, and minimum terms of three to twelve months are normal.

Most agencies don't publish prices at all. Of the 14 in our guide to the best B2B SaaS marketing agencies, ten put at least one number on their site. Those numbers are below, with a link to each source.

I lead search at Fourward, a B2B SaaS marketing team that competes with some of the agencies above. We don't publish a price list either, and I say why below. Every figure links to the page it came from.

The five ways agencies charge

  • Monthly retainer. The default. A fixed fee for an agreed scope, such as paid media management or an SEO program. Refine Labs, Powered by Search, SimpleTiger and Bay Leaf all price this way.
  • Per channel. A price per service that you stack. Powered by Search lists paid media, SEO and RevOps as separate programs. Refine Labs prices creative, paid media and full demand separately.
  • Full outsourced team. One fee for a whole marketing department. Kalungi's Full Service starts at $50,000 a month and comes with a fractional CMO.
  • Project or hourly. For defined work such as a HubSpot setup or an audit. SmartBug charges $185 an hour for onboarding. Refine Labs sells a six-week revenue assessment at $35,000.
  • Pay for performance. Rare. Kalungi offers a pay-for-performance option that ties part of the fee to quarterly goals.

Two billing details matter. Powered by Search bills quarterly and charges more for monthly billing. Hey Digital's creative plan has no contract, which is unusual at this price.

Key takeaway

Below $5,000 a month you're buying one narrow service. A channel run well starts around $5,000. A team that replaces your marketing department starts around $26,000 and goes past $50,000.

What moves the price

  1. How many channels. Each added channel adds people. Refine Labs' jump from $14,000 for paid media to $26,000 for full demand is the clearest example.
  2. Who does the work. Senior strategists cost more than account coordinators. Bay Leaf promises a growth manager and a senior strategist on every account, which is part of what you pay for.
  3. Output each month. Content agencies price on volume. SimpleTiger's $5,000 to $30,000+ range for SEO is mostly a question of how much gets produced.
  4. Your stage. Several agencies say who they're for. Kalungi targets companies past product-market fit, Refine Labs Series B and later. Bigger clients, bigger scopes.
  5. Term and billing. Longer commitments and quarterly billing bring the monthly figure down. Month-to-month costs more where it's offered.

Costs that aren't in the retainer

  • Ad spend. Always separate. Hey Digital recommends at least $10,000 a month in ad budget on top of its fee. Paid agencies often set a spend floor like this.
  • Tools. Your CRM, analytics, SEO and AI visibility tools are usually your subscriptions, not theirs.
  • Setup and audits. Some agencies charge for the first month's audit or strategy work. Powered by Search sells a one-off Power Hour at $2,500. Others, including Fourward, do the audit free.
  • Your own time. Approvals, access and subject-matter input. Not a line item, but the thing that most often slows an engagement.

Minimum terms

Expect three to twelve months. Refine Labs asks for six months on paid media and full demand. Kalungi's FAQ calls six to twelve months a good minimum. KlientBoost's FAQ says terms can start at three months. Bay Leaf's AI search package runs six months. Hey Digital's creative plan has no contract.

A minimum term isn't a red flag. SEO and content take months to show results, and an agency that lets you leave after 30 days is pricing in churn. What matters is that the exit terms are written down before you start.

Agency pricing against an in-house team

For context, a four-person in-house marketing team costs about $564,824 in its first year at US national medians, before tools and ad spend. That's roughly $47,000 a month, which is close to the top end of agency pricing and above most of it. I showed the working in in-house marketing team vs agency.

The comparison isn't one-sided. An in-house team gives you people who only work on your product. An agency gives you a wider skill set for less money, with less of their attention. Which is better depends on your stage and how many channels you need at once.

Why most agencies don't publish prices

Four of the 14 agencies in our guide publish nothing: Directive, KlientBoost, Animalz and Foundation Marketing. KlientBoost offers three options through a free marketing plan. The others price after a call.

Fourward doesn't publish a price list either. The work depends on the plan, and the plan depends on what the free SEO, AEO and GEO audit finds. After the audit you get a written plan within three working days with the price in it, as a monthly fee or a project fee. If the number doesn't fit, you've lost 30 minutes and gained an audit.

That's the fair test for any agency that won't publish prices: do you get a specific number before you commit, and how long does it take?

How to get a fair price

  1. Decide the channel first. Knowing you need paid media or SEO, not "marketing", gets you a tighter quote. Our guide to how to choose a B2B SaaS marketing agency covers that step.
  2. Compare like with like. A $5,000 paid media retainer and a $5,000 full-service plan buy very different amounts of work.
  3. Ask what's included and what's extra. Ad spend, tools, reporting, creative and setup fees. Get the list in writing.
  4. Ask who's on the account. You're paying for people's time. Find out whose. The questions to ask a marketing agency are in a separate post.
  5. Trade term for price. If you're confident in the fit, a longer term usually earns a lower monthly fee.

FAQs

How much does a SaaS marketing agency cost per month?

Published prices run from about $2,500 a month for one narrow service to $50,000 and more for a full outsourced team. A channel run properly, such as paid media or SEO, starts around $5,000 a month. A specialist at full depth or two channels together runs $10,000 to $30,000. Ad spend is extra.

Which SaaS marketing agencies publish their pricing?

Of the 14 agencies in our guide, ten publish at least one figure: Hey Digital, Kalungi, Bay Leaf Digital, Powered by Search, SimpleTiger, Refine Labs, Grow and Convert, NoGood, Omniscient Digital and SmartBug Media. Directive, KlientBoost, Animalz and Foundation Marketing price after a call.

What is the cheapest SaaS marketing agency option?

Hey Digital's ad creative subscription from €2,500 a month with no contract, and Kalungi's CMO coaching from about $2,500 a month. Both are single services, not a full program.

Is ad spend included in agency pricing?

No. Agency fees cover the people and the work. Ad budget is paid separately to Google, LinkedIn or Meta, and paid agencies often set a minimum spend. Hey Digital recommends at least $10,000 a month.

How long are SaaS marketing agency contracts?

Usually three to twelve months. Refine Labs asks for six months on paid media, Kalungi suggests six to twelve, and KlientBoost starts at three. Hey Digital's creative plan has no contract.

Is an agency cheaper than hiring in-house?

Usually. A four-person in-house team costs about $564,824 in year one at US medians, roughly $47,000 a month before tools and ad spend. Most agency programs cost less than that, but you get a share of a team rather than people who work only on your product.
